“The Mace of Eden,” I said as I
looked at the showtimes.
“The 1:30 sounds good,” replied
Andy.
“Yeah dog,” said myself. We bought
our tickets and went on in to the lobby. The bar was empty. We took a seat at
the inner corner of the bar.
“Anunni is a go,” I told Andy
“Cool man, rest in peace,” he said. I laughed.
“You gotta send me the funeral
shots.”
“Do you want me to cry
hysterically?”
“Don’t over do it.”
We ordered our favorite drinks. I
took a rum and coke and Andy took an iced tea.
“Good luck,” said Andy
“Thanks, and heres to immortality,”
I said.
We took our sips and said nothing
else on that matter. We were here to enjoy my remaining days before I left. All
I wanted was to disappear to something else. It was just time for a change. But
it was going to more than that. It was something that a majority of the world
would not understand and or undergo. It had to do with pushing the body to it’s
limits, to the point where it becomes something more than human.
